Like WELSH GOLD (Aur Cymru) Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky is a rare and precious commodity. This golden malt whisky signals the welcome return of whisky distillation to Wales, after an absence of over 100 years. The malt whisky tradition has been revived at Penderyn – a small village nestling in the Brecon Beacons National Park. This picturesque mountain range supplies the pure spring water for our still. The water flows over the land and permeates through porous red sandstone and limestone caverns before being drawn directly into the distillery. The water is then married with our distilled malted barley spirit to create the award winning Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky. After maturing in bourbon casks, the whisky is finished in Madeira barrels to create a distinctive, golden, single malt that is light on the palate and smooth to taste. It’s the taste of heaven!
