Glayva has its origins in the late 1940’s in the port of Leith, where Ronald Morrison
worked as a whisky distiller. Inspired by the exotic imports he witnessed being shipped and unloaded onto the quayside each day,
he resolved to create a distinctively different liqueur.
Carefully selected ingredients combine to form the unique taste of Glayva Liqueur. Glayva
is created using the finest whiskies from Scotland, tangerines from the Mediterranean, crushed herbs and spices from Africa and the
Far East, and almonds from Brazil. The Gaelic meaning of the word “Glayva” is an apropos description of the taste – it means “very
good!” There is even a closely guarded secret ingredient known only to Glayva Master Blender Richard Patterson!
Packed full of intriguing flavors and finishes, Glayva makes the perfect choice for every
kind of social occasion, from parties to casual drinks amongst friends. Enjoy it neat over ice or as a long mixer at the start of
an evening or as a coffee liqueur at the end.
