Dacia Cotnari is produced in the Cotnari region of Romania, famed for its naturally
sweet dessert wines. Made from a traditional blend of native grapes, Dacia yields a wine golden in color with a rich bouquet
and flavor with at least five percent residual sugar. Much of the wine’s quality is the result of Cotnari’s limestone soil
in addition to a climate that is particularly conducive to botrytis cinerea, or noble rot, which is an inherent part of the
process to produce quality, sweet dessert wines, such as Sauternes or Aszł of Tokaj.
Dacia Cotnari’s vineyards have been famed since the Middle Ages when its wine was
first called the Pearl of Moldavia, a name it still enjoys today. Serve chilled with desserts or on the rocks as a
cocktail.
